MODI
The need for mobility is constantly increasing. Since the expansion of transport infrastructure cannot keep pace with this demand, more efficient use of existing infrastructure and private and public services in passenger and freight transport must be promoted. The key to this is data. Today, this information is not sufficiently available or harmonized and therefore cannot be easily linked and used. There is a lack of a national data infrastructure base covering all modes of transport and an organization independent of market interests to bring the relevant players together.

Description
The Federal Council therefore wants to establish a national mobility data infrastructure (MODI). MODI is intended to simplify the exchange of mobility data across transport modes and government levels. It will enable stakeholders to network and to provide, link and obtain standardized mobility data and digital services.
Beyond Civic is supporting the development and operation of the MODI sandbox for the exemplary implementation of use cases based on the Data Space Sandbox solution.
