TriRegio Data Ecosystem
The trinational metropolitan region along the southern Upper Rhine thrives on cross-border cooperation, and the creation of a digital data space is intended to deepen this cooperation in the digital realm as well. At the heart of these efforts is access to data that is difficult or impossible to access.

Description
By sharing data that is currently inaccessible across the region, stakeholders can significantly improve their planning capacities and create sustainable synergies. To achieve this, a multi-year project has been developed with a focus on building appropriate infrastructure, creating a legal framework and governance, and involving key stakeholders.
The TriRegio Data Space emphasizes decentralized data sovereignty, clear rules for data exchange, and interoperability in line with European and national digital strategies.
To concretize and illustrate this modern concept of data exchange, we have set up a cross-border data space within a few weeks and have already collected the first data products with the relevant organizations.
